My Christmas started out as soon as I got home from
college. I started making Christmas cookies and Christmas gifts and of course
listening to Christmas music. As for actual Christmas celebration that started
on Christmas Eve. My Deaf Sunday School class had its Christmas party from 3-4:45
where we just hung out, had hot chocolate, played games, and decorated cookies.
Then at 5:00 we had our Christmas Eve service where I helped interpret some of
the songs for the Deaf. When my family got home we watched ‘The Nativity Story’
and read ‘Christmas: On This Holy Night’ as we do every year. Not long after we
went to bed.

My First Horse Show on Campus
As many of you know, I am an
equestrian student at my college. I am taking a hunter/jumper class and a
dressage class (trust me when I say double seating is not an easy task). In
the number of years I have been riding, which is only about five, I have only
competed in one dressage show. That is another story. However, it
was a good experience for getting me into the show ring. The story I
would like to share is the story of my first horse show on-campus. (By
the way, both of the shows I have competed I have been schooling shows, which
means they are not recognized shows.)
For those who aren’t familiar with dressage, I will take a few moments to explain how showing works.

College 4 Realz...... Finals Week
After a lot of hard work, new experiences and a lot of
fun, we have officially finished our first semester of college and now
blissfully retreat to recuperate over a month long winter break. Also, now we
have a good idea of what the dreaded Finals Week involves. When you think of
college finals the first thing that comes to mind is stress, coffee and energy
drinks, and pulling lots of all-nighters.

Celebrate the Holidays with us……..A College Christmas
Hey guys! I mentioned
in the last celebrate the holidays with us that we had a Friendsgiving and that
we knew we would have a Christmas party. We had this party on the 2nd
of December because that was the Friday before finals. Now this was a pretty big event for us and we wanted to share it with you!
Celebrate the Holidays with us.......Thanksgiving
FRIENDSGIVING
A few weeks ago I brought up to one
of our friends that I thought it would be cool to have a Christmas party before
finals week to help de-stress. She said that her and her roommate were thinking
along those lines but that they were actually thinking more like secret Santa.
So we decided to combine both of them into one having a party and secret Santa.
I will post telling everyone how that went later this week but for now I am
going to tell you about the Friendsgiving we had before thanksgiving break to
celebrate that and to organize the secret Santa.

College 4 Realz...... Myth Vs. Reality
There are a lot of common sayings or facts about college that simply
are not true, or are exaggerated. Keep in mind that it totally depends on the
size of the college, atmosphere and the people you hang around, but in my
particular experience, here are 5 facts I have discovered:
1. You CAN
balance your sleep, studying and social life.

Fighting The Flu
Hello
Internet World! There are two things that a college kid living in the dorms
fear, Finals Week and Flu Season. (Well really I could do an entire post on
things that we ‘fear’ but that is for another day.) Unfortunately they seem to
hit near the same time too. While I can’t help you avoid Finals Week (I’m sorry
I wish I could) I can help you avoid getting the flu. While this is NOT a
foolproof method, it may help a bit.

A Weekend At My House
Hi friends! This post is about this past weekend when my
friends, Jennah, Lacey, and Alyssa, all came to my house the first time.
I made the one-hour trip home at 11:00 o-clock as normal, and my friends
came home later because some of them had classes during the afternoon. They met
up my mom in Jefferson City and followed her home. When they got there,
we all went down to my horses to feed them. My friends were excited to finally
see the horses that I have been talking about since day one. They loved them, although
Lacey was a little shy around them. She hasn’t really been around horse before
so that was normal. After that,

How We Met
Hi guys! My friends and I have started this wonderful
blog. We all come from different
backgrounds with a wide range of interests and hobbies. So how did we all meet?
Alyssa
and I go way back, about six years back around the time we both started high
school. At the time, we were both
attending the same homeschool co-op in Illinois.

College 4 realz....If I Can Do It Anyone Can!
Hey
everyone!
College is a short period in your
life where you have an opportunity to easily try new things and be involved in
projects you know nothing about. A few months ago, I would be shocked if I was
told I would be deeply involved in a collegiate theater production.
