Meet the Horses in the Western Barn

Hi friends! Aly here, today I wanted to give you a little sneak peck into the Western Barn at school. I was able to take pictures of 11 horses cause, the horses live a very busy life. On to the show we go!

First off is Balito he is one of the oldest horses in the barn. Before coming to William woods he was a police horse so he rarely spooks at anything and he is a prize show horse.

The next horse is Bilbo his show name is Forthofers Moses. He is a 2009 Shire Golding, he is a draft horse and is in my opinion the gentlest horse in the barn. You walk up to his stall and he is already at the door waiting to be ridden. He is only 6 years old and he is very good under saddle in western.

Next horse is named Butters also known as Skips Future Pride, he is a 1993 AQHA Sorrel Gelding and he is the old man of the barn. He is known to only let a few people ride him and his nickname is an old grumpy grandpa. He is the best horse calm wise in the barn.

Next, up is the beautiful Silk is also known as Dancin in Cyllk. Silk is a 2007 half Arabian Mare. She is known is the barn for being the princess and is pampered and loved by all the western riders.

Royal is my boy, his show name is Royal Crests Dancing on Stones. This beautiful boy is a 2002 Chestnut Saddlebred Gelding. He is one of the very few saddlebreds in the western barn. His stall is next to Bilbo and they are a very good friends and don't like to be apart and Royal will throw a fit if Bilbo leaves.

Next is Cheesie, he has two show names which are Naturally Fancy(PtHA) and the last is Lambeau Field(APHA). He is a 2004 Sorrel Overo Gelding. He is one of these horses in the barn that you can go up to and he is ready to give you love and cuddles at any time of the day. He is easy to ride and also fun too.

Lenny is the next horse in the barn, Lenny's show name is All Thats Real. He is a newer horse in the barn. He is a 2008 Overo APHA Gelding. I don't know Lenny very well and can only say that everyone says he is a good horse to ride and is nice.

Next is Decker and his show name is Four Aces To A Deck. He is a 2011 Sorrel Quarter Horse Gelding. Decker is mostly grumpy, but not a bad horse. He is a great riding horse for his class and very fun.

The next horse is the amazing Oliver, his show name is WU Majorific. He is a 2008 Chestnut Arabian Gelding. Oliver is a special horse in my heart because he is the first horse I was introduced to in the western barn and is still a horse I go over to see a lot.

Next up is the great Rudy, his show name is WU Kyss of Fame. He is a Bay Pinto National Show Horse Gelding. He is one of the many horses I have had the privilege to ride in the barn. He can be tricky to ride and stubborn, but when you get him in gear he is the best horse to ride.

Lastly, is Corky his show name is Alada Chall. He is a 2010 Chestnut Arabian Gelding. Corky is just as his name describes, he is sweet and silly. He is a great ride and is always ready for treats.

Until next time

~Aly
