A Weekend At My House

Hi friends!  This post is about this past weekend when my friends, Jennah, Lacey, and Alyssa, all came to my house the first time.  I made the one-hour trip home at 11:00 o-clock as normal, and my friends came home later because some of them had classes during the afternoon. They met up my mom in Jefferson City and followed her home.  When they got there, we all went down to my horses to feed them. My friends were excited to finally see the horses that I have been talking about since day one. They loved them, although Lacey was a little shy around them. She hasn’t really been around horse before so that was normal. After that,

How We Met

Hi guys! My friends and I have started this wonderful blog.  We all come from different backgrounds with a wide range of interests and hobbies. So how did we all meet?

Alyssa and I go way back, about six years back around the time we both started high school. At the time, we were both attending the same homeschool co-op in Illinois.

College 4 realz....If I Can Do It Anyone Can!

Hey everyone!
College is a short period in your life where you have an opportunity to easily try new things and be involved in projects you know nothing about. A few months ago, I would be shocked if I was told I would be deeply involved in a collegiate theater production.

Blogs I Read

Hey everyone! I mentioned in my last post that I regularly checked blogs for new posts in high school. Today I want to share with you the blogs I follow what I like most about them.

My favorite blog is MostlyMorgan. Morgan seems to just love life and can’t wait to help other girls live life in college. About six months ago she dropped out of school and moved to New York so her college posts have dwindled. Even so, I still read all her posts which says a lot seeing as I was only drawn to blogs because I needed the college advice!

College 4 Realz......Survival List

Here is a compiled list of things every college student should bring to their dorm! Now, this is not a list of EVERYTHING you need, like clothes, bedding, etc., but of things you might not think about. There are dozens of lists like these on the internet, so we tried to think of little things that usually are missed.

My First Day at school

I (ALy)remember my first day of college being a very hard day for me. I have always been a homebody so moving out of the house was really hard for me. I remember that I was just fine when we first got there and everything was great with the unpacking and the opening ceremony. I was all smiling and laughing until my mountain of bags started to grow smaller and that reality started to set in and I started to get sad. My friends saw this and started to comfort me, which only made me worse. My parents saw this and started to hug me. “It’s going to be ok Aly, we live only a hour away and you can come home every weekend if you want too.”  This made me feel a little better but I couldn’t wait for the weekend when I can go home.

When weekend came and it was time for me to go home for the weekend I ran into my father’s arms and started to cry I was so happy to see him. When the weekend was over I had to come back to school but this time I know that everything was going to be ok and that I would have my friend to help though this journey. ☺

Were you homesick when you first moved out?

Move In Day

It’s 5 A.M., your alarm goes off and you jump out of bed.  Everything is already packed in the car ready to go.  The previous night you laid out your outfit for the day.  You feel the excitement rush through you as you get dressed.  The rest of your family is still asleep.  But this isn’t a normal day for you, you are about to embark on a brand new adventure.

Why We Started This Blog

Lacey here! When I went into my senior year of High School at 16 and I was taking college classes at Missouri Baptist University to get some college credit. I knew if I studied the same way I had the rest of my High School years I wouldn’t make it. So I went the best place for study tips – Pinterest! No really, going to Pinterest was the best thing I did. I spent almost two whole days researching and studying how to study. It may seem excessive but I was freaking out inside and needed some help.

Meet Jennah

Hello! My name is Jennah and I am a sophomore at William Woods University. I am an Equestrian Science and Accounting double major whose ultimate goal is to run my own riding center and teach kids of all ages (including those pony-loving adults!) how to care for and enjoy God’s wonderful creatures. I also plan to become an accountant, because keeping track of things –especially money- is important for running a business. Also, horses are expensive (as all y’all horse people know the struggle) and accounting is a stable career which I enjoy!

Meet Aly

Hello again and thank you for coming to visit me on my page welcome. ☺ My full name is Alysha Anna Marie and I am from the great state of Missouri; I have lived heard my whole life as far as I know. The reason I say this is when I was born my birth parents didn’t have enough money to take care of me so I was put up for adoption. That is where I met my parents and my life has been nothing blessings ever sense that day.

Meet Victoria

*Victoria no longer writes for the blog*

Hi guys, my name is Victoria!  There is more to know about me than I think this blog post can hold but I will do my best. I come from large family of eight, with me being the oldest child of six (4 boys, 2 girls).  My family is currently living in Illinois. For me, “where are you from?” has been a complicated question that I dread. You see, I come from a military family, my dad was in the air force. So technically, I suppose I’m from Maryland where I was born. However, I moved to Georgia at the age of two. Then I moved again to Las Vegas when I was seven.  Finally, I moved to Illinois at the age of twelve, where my family currently lives.

Meet Lacey

Hey Everyone! My name is Lacey and I am a18 year old sophomore at William Woods University (WWU). I am an ASL Interpreting major with a passion to help the Deaf keep their culture, yet still be able to live life to the fullest in this hearing world. My ultimate goal is to interpret in the courts and I have a minor in Political-Legal Studies to help me get there.
